A Beginners Guide To Tips

We Should End Daylight Saving Time

Daylight saving time is also known as summer time or daylight savings time. In daylight saving time, the clocks are adjusted forward, normally by an hour such that the number of evening hours is increased while the number of morning hours is reduced. During spring, the clock is adjusted one hour ahead and during autumn, they are adjusted one hour back. In spring, you will have a few hours of sleeping and during autumn, you will sleep for more hours. Energy crisis resulted in the invention of the daylight saving time. We don’t need the daylight saving time in this era. The following are the major reasons why I support the end of the daylight saving time.

There have been an increase in the number of road deaths because of the daylight saving time. Daylight saving time deprives us one hour of sleep and this has led to more road accidents. If is after performing four tests that Austin C discovered this. In spring, a lot of road accidents happen due to one hour of sleep being lost and this has led to more deaths. Definitely, we should end daylight saving time.

A lot of people have had heart attacks because of DST. After advancing the clocks by an hour, a lot of people have had heart attacks. Heart attacks happen after sudden blocking of the heart blood vessels. In Spring, the probability of heart attacks rises by 25% while in autumn, the risk lowers by 21%. The End Daylight Saving Time petition should be approved.

Daylight saving time has been proved to increase the energy costs rather than reducing the costs. Around 1970s, the daylight savings was mainly used since there was an energy crisis. Today, we have no energy crisis since new sources of energy have been invented hence the daylight saving time should be abolished.

Researchers have found that abolishing daylight saving time will cut down on the energy bills. The DST will cut down on the cost of lighting but increase the cost of air conditioning. More air conditioning energy is used during the extra hour we get in the evening hence I fully support the abolishing of the daylight saving time.

Jobs, billing and record keeping has been proven to be altered by daylight savings time. If you are working at night and the clock is advanced by an hour, you will lose one working hour.

Lastly, daylight saving time brings effect similar to those caused by jetlag. Once the clocks are forwarded by an hour, your body clock will not be synchronous with the clocks and this results to fatigue, insomnia, and headache.

Finally, these reasons are enough to abolish daylight saving time.
